A lot of us have thought it would be fun to fish a tournament., but haven't for one reason or anther. The entry fee costs too much, the rules are too restrictive or confusing, it's not held where we are used to fishing, and the most prevalent "the guys that wins' it will probably be cheating".
That sets up a scenario where honest moral people have to prove they're not cheaters, liars, and thieves by being monitored or subject to a polygraph test. Immoral people cheat because they think it's worth it, that's never gonna change.
To address these concerns this tournament is affordable to anyone, from $50.00 to $12.50 depending on how many fisherman per boat. Hardly any restrictions on where you fish. Also to minimize rules and the incentive to cheat.
There are only 2 rules for this tournament that we can't enforce. Fish must be caught in the Ohio waters of the Western Basin (but why would you go anywhere else?) and the fish must be caught on the day of the tournament (yes you could freeze a jumbo and thaw it out for the tournament) I just couldn't figure a way around that one. So here's what we came up with.
The payoffs for placement are all the same, and the fact that the payoffs are for random placements there's a good chance we'll skip over that frozen fish (if there is one).
Thanks for checking out our tournament. and I hope you participate in what will be a fun day on the lake
